Purpose:  The Check Poom Dan Database is an excellent tool for confirming and verifing Dan information on registered members.

Use of the database is self-explanatory as given below:   

 

1. Go to the Kukkiwon website. Find the Check/Poom Dan Database. To use it, you must enter Dan registration information exactly into the Kukkiwon Database labeled cells: Name, Nationality and Date of birth. You may have to use all capitals on the lettering. Click on the inquiry button to activate the database search engine. Inquiry can be made by name or Dan registration number. The database will show search results on the name or number that was entered with the following return: Dan number, name, date of issue and current rank. Clear the database return. If no results are returned it means there was incorrect data, spelling, or the registration does not exist. 

 

2. Your information is already stored on Kukkiwon servers. However, I can not vouch for its integrity. At your option or choice you may enter your Dan information for practice to see if your return is accurate. Inquiry can also be made to the Kukkiwon by email or telephone.

 

3. Take the open book test to the right of this page.
